Supply Chain Transformation
Kaduna & Niger States Nigeria. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (2018–2020)
Led comprehensive supply chain transformation projects for Kaduna and Niger State Drugs Management Agencies (DMAs) and the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supplies Agency (EPSA).
Orchestrated business process reengineering, resulting in co-developed, robust SOPs for end-to-end supply chain functions, with a focus on procurement, data visibility, financial management, and logistics outsourcing.
Optimized warehouse, inventory, and order management systems, and integrated mSupply Warehouse Information Management System with MedPro eLMIS to boost supply chain performance.
Strengthened contract management, third-party risk oversight, and updated Drug Revolving Fund (DRF) models to enhance revenue generation and sustainability.
Borno State, Nigeria (2024)
Supported the newly established Borno State Drugs & Medical Consumables Management Agency (BODMA) with baseline assessments and business process reengineering, leading to the development of SOPs for procurement, warehouse, and inventory management.
Ondo State, Nigeria (2022–2023)
Conducted baseline assessments and capacity reviews for the newly established Ondo Drugs & Hospitals Consumables Management Agency, laying the groundwork for effective supply chain and DRF operations.
Health Infrastructure Management
Gombe State, Nigeria; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (2019–2020)
Renovated and modernized the Gombe State Central Medical Store under a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation-funded project, significantly improving warehousing efficiency and operational capacity.
Established Training Resource Centers for the Ethiopian Pharmaceutical Supplies Agency in Addis Ababa and three regional locations, ensuring continuous professional development and strengthening human resources for supply chain management nationwide.
Human Resources for Health Supply Chain Management
Ethiopia (2018–2020)
Partnered with EPSA to co-develop HR strategies, update HR procedures, and implement integrated human resource information systems.
Automated personnel records and optimized staff deployment at the facility level to enhance service delivery.
Nigeria (2018–2020)
Delivered capacity-building programs for staff at senior, middle-management, and operational levels in Niger and Kaduna State agencies through benchmarking visits, classroom and on-the-job training, mentoring, and technical assistance.
Developed comprehensive HR and finance SOPs, strengthening institutional processes and workforce performance.
Financial Management
Kaduna & Niger States, Nigeria (2018–2020)
Supported KADHSMA and NSDHCMA with the first exemption-based audits of health facilities, driving continuous improvement in financial monitoring and accountability.
Co-developed financial sustainability plans and business models with KADHSMA and NSDHCMA, and established cost baselines for public health supply chains to improve value for money.
Led advocacy efforts that secured ₦50 million in funding for essential medicines procurement in Niger State through the Saving One Million Lives (SOML) programme.
Data Management & Technology Integration
Nigeria & Ethiopia (2018–2020)
Provided technical assistance to government institutions to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making, analytics, and technology adoption.
Developed SOPs and automated tools for health commodity stock management and reporting, improving data quality and use at both state and national levels.
Last Mile Delivery & Supply Visibility Design
Kano & Kaduna States, Nigeria (2024–2025)
Conducted comprehensive landscape analyses and rapid mixed-methods assessments to map last-mile delivery (LMD) and supply visibility (SV) systems.
Co-designed integrated, multi-channel LMD and SV solutions, merging public program commodities with state-run initiatives and implementing hybrid distribution models that combine outsourced services with DMA-owned fleets.
